The decorating boomerang is a 34 inch boomerang painted with a heavy sanding sealer. The surface requires a light sanding then is ready for artists to apply their design.
The boomerang can be used to be decorated as the student wishes or in conjunction with the internet or library
resources to promote studies of a culture going back 40,000 years. Decorating boomerangs provide something tangible for students to enrich their studies.
Before attempting the boomerang itself, there is the opportunity for the students to research and discuss the meaning of the designs and application. All motifs and painting techniques should be practiced and refined before attempting the finished product.
